Clove Oil

Once again, my hubby brings me another kind of oil. Usually, I buy this kind of oil in other brand, that is when I get toothache. The brand name is 'Burung Kakaktua'. But, in this time he bring me clove oil and merely using its name, that is clove oil. The smell of it very tangy, such as cigarette. Yup, it's smell is not like the Kakaktua brand, but it's like cigarette.

Cloves are the sun-dried, flower bud (Syzygium aromaticum), atree native of Molucoa Island betweem Celebes and New Guenea (also known as the spice Islands).

Clove oil constituents include eugenol, eugenyl acetate, caryophyllene and iocaryophyllene. Clove oil has been and continues to be used in connection with respiratory ailments such as asthma and bronchitis, muscle aches, sprains and strains, arthritis and rheumatism. Many individuals use clove oil for its analgesic effects for body pain. Clove oil is one of the oils contained in Narayan Oil.
Clove oil is considered by many in the health profession to be an effective antibiotic, antiseptic, antiviral, analgesic, antioxidant, carminative, expectorant, antifungal, anti-parasitic, spasmodic, and stimulant. Clove oil has antibacterial and painkilling (anesthetic) properties. When applied directly to the gums, it will numb the pain of toothache. A mouthwash containing clove oil has been shown to be effective in treating gingivitis.
